Mumbai: The Nokia 14th star Screen Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Yash Raj Films' 'Chak De India' was declared the best film of the year while Kareena Kapoor won the Best Actress Award for the film 'Jab We Met'. AR Rahman won the Best Music Director Award for Mani Ratnam's 'Guru'. 'Taare Zameen Par' bagged six main awards including the Best Director (Aamir Khan) ,Best Child Actor (Darsheel), Best Story (Amol Gupte), Best Lyricist (Prasoon Joshi), Best Supporting Actor (Aamir Khan) and Best Dialogue. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone won the honor of Best Pair while Deepika was also adjudged the Best Newcomer (Female). Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Newcomer (Male) Award. Manoj Kumar was honored with the Star Screen Lifetime Achievement Award, for his great contribution to the Hindi cinema The function was attended by the who's who of Bollywood.
